About Otto
Otto Adelman is a Jewish transgender activist and public speaker, as well as an award-winning playwright, poet, and novelist. He is deeply involved in the nonprofit sector, working as a professional “Death Guy” (managing funeral logistics, yahrzeits, and other end-of-life needs) for one of the largest synagogues in the US. His public speaking primarily focuses on transgender issues and identity. He has won multiple awards for his writing, notably the VSA Young Playwrights Award, which resulted in his work being performed at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. He lives with his husband and two rotten dogs.
